What started as a hobby, quickly turned into a passion for Home Chìc owner Kelly Urban-Greneaux. Born and raised in Lafayette, Kelly is no stranger to small business here; her father is Acadiana Garage Door founder Frank Urban. Having spent 5 years in Dallas, Kelly attributes the discovery of her talent to her time in the big city,“ I found myself always changing things around in my home, friends homes, wherever anyone let me play.” The decision to turn her passion into her livelihood is not something she took lightly, but after heavy consideration and a lot of persuasion from friends and family, Kelly knew this was the right choice. The entire premise for Home Chìc is this, Kelly states, “Our home is a true reflection of who we are, so what does it say about you?” “Most people lack the time and energy to put hours into decorating their home, or they feel like they cannot afford it; my goal with Home Chìc is to create a home that is luxurious and functional as well as affordable.”
